ORIGIN
Doodling can lead to more than just squiggles…for as long as she can remember, when it came to art, the finished product for creator Mandy Robinson was always a straight line between A and B. It just included two arms, two legs and a head.
She has been sketching variations on her popular Harkesie McGee™ character since days of yore, often creating original cards and gifts for friends that included their own caricatures based on the simple but vibrant look. Never one to let the failure at impressionism or true technique stop her, she has created storyboards of her unique stick figures and produced a comic, Harkesie McGee™ the Hostile Hostess for start-up Darden restaurant Seasons 52′s newsletter.
Finally giving in to requests of friends and clients to launch it as a line, the Harkesie McGee™ collection has officially been put into production.
Since we know you’re wondering, the name, though strange, comes from a moniker earned during many years of athletic endeavors. That’s all we can say about that.
